Lymphoedema is a condition of local swelling, commonly in the lower leg or arm. It's underlying cause is a blockage of the lymphatic vessels which leads to protein rich fluid accumulating in the affected areas / limbs. QLS' Shockwave therapy (lithotripsy) can be used to encourage uptake of fluid into the lymph vessels. Patients usually experience relief over a period of weeks post treatment.
